Overview

APRIS2018 is a conference for Robot IoT Systems and related development and platform technologies in Asia-Pacific region. One of the purposes of the conference is to encourage ongoing research activities especially by young researchers, as well as to present solid technical achievements.
Based on this manner, we would like to accept not only technically solid papers, but also papers that have a potential to be presented well at the workshop. Even if a paper is not a report of completed work, we would like to accept the paper if it contains useful information.

Topics of papers include, but not limited to:

  • Robot IoT systems
  • IoT technology for Industry 4.0/Factory 4.0
  • Vehicle IoT systems
  • Design/development platforms and methods for IoT systems
  • Network technology and protocol for IoT
  • Cyber security for IoT
  • IoT use-case and applications

Submitted papers will be reviewed by APRIS2018 TPC members. Accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings and IPSJ digital library if the authors prefer (see “Publication of Accepted Papers” in detail).

Instruction on Paper Submission

All the accepted papers must be presented at APRIS2018. At least one author of an accepted paper must register for the workshop. The detail of registration guide will be announced in August.

Note that we only solicit “D. Work In Progress (WIP) Paper (1-2 pages)” now.

Instruction on Formatting Paper

Please see following format policy very carefully. If a submitted paper does not satisfy required paper format, it may be rejected without review.

Papers should be written in English.
Papers must be prepared using one of following format files.

Submission paper should be converted to PDF format.
Submission paper should include the author names and affiliations, title, abstract, figures, tables, references, and acknowledgements. Biography of authors is not needed.

The length of Oral/Regular paper should not exceed 8 pages, and Poster/Short, Extended abstract of ESS, and Work In Progress (WIP) papers should not exceed 2 pages. The authors should select category of the paper in the submission system.

Publication of Accepted Papers

APRIS2018 will publish two types of proceedings

On-site proceedings: All of the accepted papers will be included in electronic proceedings. It will be published only for participants of APRIS2018.
Note that we will publish the submitted WIP papers as it is.

Post-workshop proceedings: In addition, the authors can select the option to publish the accepted paper to be published on the IPSJ digital library. It will be published on December (tentative).

If you would like your paper to be published for the post-workshop proceedings in IPSJ digital library when it will be accepted, select “Yes” from the list on the submission system.

The authors have a chance to revise the paper for publication by taking account to reviewer’s comments and on-site discussion.

Awards

APRIS2018 committee has a plan to award excellent/outstanding papers/presentations/posters.
