Call for Papers
The 14th IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Real-Time
Computing Systems and Applications (RTCSA 2008)
August 25 to 27, 2008
Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Embedded software has become a necessity in almost every aspect
of the daily lives of individuals and organizations, from
self-contained applications to those embedded in various devices
and services (mobile phones, vital sign sensors, medication
dispensers, home appliances, engine ignition systems, etc). A
large proportion of these systems are mission/life critical and
performance sensitive.
The 14th IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Real-Time
Computing Systems and Applications (RTCSA 2008) will bring
together researchers and developers from academia and industry
for advancing the technology of embedded and real-time systems,
and ubiquitous computing applications. The conference has the
following goals: to investigate advances in embedded and
real-time systems and ubiquitous computing applications; to
promote interaction among the areas of embedded computing,
real-time computing and ubiquitous computing; to evaluate the
maturity and directions of embedded and real-time system and
ubiquitous computing technology. RTCSA2008 invites submissions
of papers presenting a high quality original research and
development for the conference tracks: (1) Real-time Systems,
(2) Ubiquitous Computing, and (3) Embedded Systems.
The 14th IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Real-Time
Computing Systems and Applications (RTCSA 2008) will be held in
Kaohsiung, Taiwan -- The capital of Sea. Similar to earlier
RTCSA conference, there will be three days parallel tracks
program, satellite workshops/tutorials, and panel discussion.
General Information for Kaohsiung, Taiwan:
Kaohsiung is situated on southern coast of Taiwan, facing the
Taiwan Strait to the west and, beyond the southern tip of the
island, the Bashi Channel to the south. It sits across vital
sea lanes connecting port facilities. Proximity to the sea gives
Kaohsiung a warm, sunny climate all year-round. As the second
largest city in Taiwan and world's sixth-largest container
harbor in the world, Kaohsiung has developed rapidly in recent
years and is quickly acquiring the attributes of the modern,
international metropolis. This bustling harbor city not only has
a superb location and enchanting natural surroundings, but also
friendly people who welcome visitors with the utmost warmth and
hospitality.
