組込みシステム研究者各位: EUC併設のワークショップESOのCFPをお送り致します。 冨山宏之 名古屋大学 # # # The 3rd International Workshop on Embedded Software Optimization (ESO 2008) http://www.utdallas.edu/~qiumk/ESO2008/ in conjunction with The 2008 IEEE/IFIP International Conf. on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing (EUC 2008) http://epcc.sjtu.edu.cn/euc2008/ December 17 - 20, 2008, Shanghai, China Scope and Topics of Interest ============================ Embedded systems are driving an information revolution with their pervasion in our everyday lives. The increasingly ubiquitous embedded systems pose a host of technical challenges different from those faced by general-purpose computers because they are more constrained in terms of timing, power, area, memory and other resources. Embedded software optimization becomes a major concern for embedded system design. The objective of ESO 2008 is to provide a forum for scientists, engineers, and researchers to discuss and exchange their new ideas, novel results, work in progress and experience on all aspects of software optimization for embedded and ubiquitous systems. Topics of particular interest include, but are not limited to: • Software optimization techniques for power, timing, memory, cost minimization, reliability and security • Code size optimization techniques • Software design and optimization for multi-core, parallel, distributed or heterogeneous embedded and ubiquitous systems • Software management for memory systems • Embedded networks and sensor network optimizations • Real-time software design and optimization • Security and fault tolerance for embedded or ubiquitous systems • Application-specific embedded software design and optimization • Code generation and optimization for embedded processors • Compilation for reconfigurable architectures • Design space exploration and minimization • Embedded Java optimization • Profiling and analysis techniques for embedded software • Verification and testing techniques for embedded software • Power/energy estimation tools for embedded software • Case studies for various applications Important Dates =============== Paper submission due : 15 June, 2008 Acceptance notification : 18 August, 2008 Camera-ready due : 22 September, 2008 Author registration : 22 September, 2008 Conference : 17-20 December, 2008 Submission Information ====================== Submissions should include abstract, 5-10 keywords, and the e-mail address of the corresponding author and be in PDF format. Each submission must not exceed 6 pages in the IEEE 8.5’’ x 11’’ two-column format with 10-12 point font (Template: DOC or LaTeX), including tables and figures. Each accepted paper needs at least one author to register in the conference. Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the submission be accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the conference to present the work in order that the accepted paper can be put into digital library. The final version of an accepted paper will be limited to 6 pages in IEEE proceeding format. The workshop paper submission can be done through system http://cse.stfx.ca/~euc08workshops/sub/ The accepted papers have to be presented orally at the conference and will be published by IEEE CS as one separate proceeding (indexed by EI). The selected best papers will be published in special issues of journals, including International Journal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems, and Journal of Embedded Computing.
