Objectives
APRIS Robot Challenge is a special event of APRIS. The event aims to provide an education to develop embedded systems which required us to learn inter-disciplinary skills such as software, electrical, and mechanical engineering. Attendees can learn these skills through Project-Based Learning in which develops an autonomous multi-copter system.
The event is based on the educational projects of the Education Network for Practical Information Technologies – Embedded System (enPiT-Emb). enPiT has been promoted by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. The participants of this event are given the certification of completion of the basic course on enPiT-Emb.

Project-based Learning: Aerial Surveillance System
1st phase: Remote controller
- Step by step development on Day 1
- Python program written by attendees:
- Displays status of the quad-copter
- Reads command from the keyboard
- Interprets the command
- Sends the command to the quad-copter
2nd phase: Sequencer
- Project-based Learning on Day 2
- Python program developed by attendees:
- Reads commands in a CSV file
- Displays status
- Send the commands in order
