    The 2007 International Conference on Embedded Software and Systems
                             (ICESS-07)

After two successful ICESS forums, the third International Conference on
Embedded Software and Systems (ICESS 2007) will be held in Daegu, S.
Korea. The main goal of the conference is to advance the embedded
software and system research, development, and design competence, to
enhance international communication and collaboration, and to promote
embedded software and system industrialization and wide applications.
Embedded software and systems are emerging rapidly as exciting new
paradigms and disciples to provide computing and communication services
any place/any time/any means. This important gathering will continue the
ICESS tradition and provide a forum for researchers and developers from
academia and industry to discuss profound challenges in embedded systems.
The participants will present and exchange their new ideas, research
results, applications and experience on all aspects of embedded software
and systems. A sincere welcome awaits all visitors at the conference.


**** Scope and Interests ****

The Conference invites papers on all aspects of embedded software and
systems. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

. Application-specific embedded system architecture

. Real-time systems
. Specification and formal methods for embedded software

. Wireless communications and ad hoc networks

. Multimedia and HCI for embedded systems
. Embedded Applications: including telecom, automotive, avionics,
  industrial control, consumer electronics, appliance, and sensors, etc.
. Emerging research issues in embedded systems


**** Submission Information ****

All manuscripts should be submitted to http://www.icess2007.org/ in pdf
format no longer than 15 pages (no style and layout restriction) and
with 5 up to 10 keywords. The manuscripts should be written in English,
present original research results that have not been published formally
and are supported by reliable data. Please indicate the author's
affiliation, mailing address, postcode, telephone number and E-mail.
Before submitting their manuscripts to ICESS2007, authors must
acknowledge that no paper of substantially similar content has been or
will be submitted to other conferences/workshops during the reviewing
period. Submissions will be reviewed by both program committee and
external reviewers for relevance and technical content. The accepted
papers should be prepared with Springer’s LNCS paper format and style
files with a page limit of 10-12 Proceedings pages. To be include in the
digital library for SCI and EI indexes, at least one author of each
accepted paper should register as a regular participant in the
conference.


**** Important Deadlines ****

Submission deadline:        January 8, 2007
Notification of acceptance: February 15, 2007
Camera-ready paper due:     March 10, 2007


**** Proceedings and Special Issue (LNCS) (Pending) ****

The proceedings will be published by Springer’s Lecture Notes in
Computer Science (LNCS). Selected papers will be included in a special
issue either on Journal of Embedded Computing (JEC) of IOS Press, the
Netherlands or International Journal of Embedded Systems (IJES) of
Inderscience, UK.
