Title: SLMLET: a chip with embedded FPGA, RISC-V and HyperBus switch

Abstract: SLMLET is a new SoC type FPGA chip with HyperBus switch for embedded application. It can connect directly to HyperRAM, a low power DRAM. Also, by connecting multiple chips, FPGA modules can work in the streaming manner to increase the performance. Multiple configuration data sets can be stored in the memory with compressed form and replaced quickly by using inner chip configuration hardware. A prototype chip with USJC 55nm process will be available on this October.
Biography: Hideharu Amano received Ph.D degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Keio University, Japan in 1986. He is currently a professor in the Department of Information and Computer Science, Keio University. His research interests include the area of parallel architectures and reconfigurable systems.

Title: Security Versus Usability: Comprehensive-Factor Authentication in Smart Factories
Abstract: In information security, more authentication factors provide higher level of security. However, this does not ensure usability in a real use case. A trade-off between security and usability is suggested. In this talk, a Comprehensive-Factor Authentication approach will be explained. This approach offers all-possible authentication factors, while dealing with usability factors including speed, ease of use and user experience. This is applied to a mobile/IoT-based time attendance system in smart factories.
Biography: Dr. Chalee Vorakulpipat received B.Eng in Electronics Engineering from KMITL, Thailand, M.S. in Information Technology from Kasetsart University, and Ph.D. in Information Systems from University of Salford, United Kingdom. He is the head of Information Security Research Team at National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Thailand. He has been involved in several projects in information security such as data security in COVID-19 international certificate, biometrics security, and Blockchain-based e-voting. He holds professional certificates including CISSP, CISA, PMP and IRCA (ISMS Lead Auditor). He is a recipient of the 2019 (ISC)² Information Security Leadership Award.
