Robot Challenge
Objectives
APRIS Robot Challenge is a hands-on educational event for developing embedded systems and learning interdisciplinary skills in software, electrical, and mechanical engineering. The 2026 challenge focuses on service design and rapid prototyping with a wheeled rover and smartphone.

Challenge Format
- Teams will develop and demonstrate a service prototype using a wheeled rover and smartphone-based functions.
- Organizers will provide the rover platform, starter software, and supporting materials.
- Participants should bring a smartphone with tethering or personal-hotspot capability and a PC for development.
- The event will include development, testing, and a short final presentation and demonstration.
Participation
Participants registered for on-site participation in the APRIS2026 Main Conference may join the Robot Challenge at no additional cost and do not need a separate Robot Challenge registration. Participants joining only the Robot Challenge should follow the Robot Challenge-only registration and payment information on the Registration & Sponsorship page.
